Arrive Melbourne & Macedon Ranges

Depart the pre-tour hotel at 8am and travel to the Macedon Ranges. On the way visit Paul Bangay’s Stonefields garden. Enjoy an exclusive tour of this artistic garden. Arrive in Macedon where you have time at leisure to have lunch. This afternoon, visit a peony farm to see spectacular tree peonies in full bloom. Return to Melbourne and enjoy a Welcome Dinner with panoramic views. (D)

Mornington Peninsula

Visit a private garden then continue to Heronswood Garden overlooking Port Phillip Bay. Wander through the gardens with perennial borders, scented herbs and dry climate plants. After enjoying a ‘Fork to Fork’ lunch at Heronswood, we continue on to the late Dame Elisabeth Murdoch’s property, Cruden Farm, sure to be a highlight. (B/L)

Yarra Valley

Today you will tour the Yarra Valley, home to some of Victoria’s premier wineries and artisan produce. Visit the spectacular Alowyn Gardens, where the owners have transformed a barren landscape into a beautiful instructive garden. Visit the garden once owned by opera singer Dame Nellie Melba, Coombe Farm, which is still owned by her family. (B/L)

Dandenong Ranges & Masterclass Cooking Demonstration

After breakfast we explore the beautiful Dandenong Ranges including Cloudehill Garden with its extensive herbaceous borders, roses and azalea walks. Among the mature trees featured at Cloudehill are maples and copper beeches. We enjoy lunch at Coonara Restaurant and wander their picking garden. We visit the private garden of 2013 Chelsea Flower Show, Best in Show winner, Phillip Johnson. Tonight, enjoy a special Farewell Dinner with a masterclass cooking demonstration at the Sofitel.
