  • White House Visitor Centre - Located on famous Pennsylvania Ave, this Visitor Center allows guests to explore exhibits and films connected to the house of the US Presidents. On view are aspects of the architecture and furnishings of the White House as well as over 90 artifacts from the Executive Mansion.
  • Arlington National Cemetery -  Comprised of land once developed by the grandson of George Washington, Arlington went on to become the home of Confederate General Robert E. Lee and later a village for the training and assistance of newly freed slaves. The first military burial took place here in 1864. Today Arlington's white headstones and monuments mark the final resting place of American heroes.
  • 9/11 Memorial & MuseumToday, the two reflecting pools of the 9/11 Memorial are as iconic as any site in New York City. Marking the footprints of the original Twin Towers, this contemplative plaza offers an opportunity to reflect on the events of that tragic day. A trip to New York City wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the 9/11 Museum to learn the story of that fateful day through interactive displays, photos, videos, artifacts and narratives. Take time to reflect at this tribute to lives lost.

  • Duquesne InclineThe Duquesne Incline is a funicular that scales the side of Mt. Washington. Completed in 1877, this funicular and track were recently restored to carry travelers to the top of the lookout point, where you will marvel at the best view of Pittsburgh.
  • Niagara Falls Cruise - Experience the wonder of Niagara Falls from a different perspective when you embark on a boat cruise to the base of the falls. Be amazed by the power of the falls as you witness the thundering water from up-close.
  • Corning Museum of Glass - Visit the Corning Museum of Glass, the site where the touch screen technology on the Apple iPhone was developed. Dedicated to the art, history, and science of glass, this museum was established in 1951 and contains a world-renowned glass-working school.
  • U.S. Capitol Building Tour - Set on top of Capitol Hill and the eastern end of the National Mall, this building is home to the U.S. Congress. First used in November of 1800, the Capitol Building is a symbol of American democracy. Designed by a Scottish-trained physician living in the British West Indies, the building is made up of two rectangular parts with a centralized dome.
  • World War II Memorial - The National WW II Memorial is dedicated to the 16 million who served in the armed forces, the 400,000 who perished and all those who supported the war effort on the home front. Dedicated in 2004 and designed by architect Friedrich St Florian, the memorial sits in a place of honor on the National Mall. Day 2. Washington, D.C.

Experience the seat of American democracy with a guided tour of the storied U.S. Capitol Visitor Center. Afterwards, take in the celebrated history of America’s capital on a tour with a local expert. Delight in wonderful views of the White House, National Mall, historic monuments, and famous museums. Along the way, you’ll stop at the moving World War II Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and the Korean War Memorial. Tonight, join your fellow travelers for a welcome dinner. Day 3. Arlington - Washington, D.C.

Embark on a narrated tour of Arlington National Cemetery, taking you to the Tomb of the Unknowns and the John F. Kennedy gravesite. Then, get a glimpse into the life of the President when you visit the White House Visitor Center. Explore the history of legendary 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and see artifacts from the White House collection. Then, it’s your choice! Step into the pages of history and uncover some of the treasures of the Smithsonian Institution with a visit to the National Air and Space Museum -OR- the National Museum of American History. Day 4. Arlington - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Head north towards Pittsburgh, a thriving city that sits at the junction of historic architecture and modern technology. In the early 20th century, Pittsburgh functioned as a booming industrial capital by producing steel. En route to the city, stop for lunch at a charming, historic tavern dating back to the 1700s. After arriving in “Steel City,” scale the side of Mt. Washington with a ride on the Duquesne Incline. Completed in 1877, this funicular and track were recently restored to carry travelers to the top of the lookout point. From the observation deck, marvel at the best view of Pittsburgh while learning about this illustrious city with a local guide. Accommodation: DoubleTree by Hilton Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 5. Pittsburgh - Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada

As you journey to Niagara Falls, travel through the Great Lakes port of Erie, sheltered by Presque Isle Peninsula, a natural bay formed on the southeast shore of Lake Erie. Take in views of the lake on one side and Erie’s wine country, the largest grape-growing region east of the Rockies, on the other. Day 6. Niagara Falls
